General Information
Residents promise at all times to honor the character of the Vaal University of Technology and subject themselves to the authority of the residence management and all House Committee Members. It is the responsibility of the House Committees and Residence Management to maintain discipline and implement internal house rules. Ignorance regarding stipulations as set out in these regulations cannot be an excuse.
All residents shall enjoy the right to live in a safe and clean environment free from unreasonable noise and other distractions. Unreasonable noise is defined as noise that interferes with the legitimate rights of others. It is the right of the residents to stay in a conducive environment free from harassment, intimidation, and assault.
Interesting Facts about VUT
- The sole technical university with a physical presence in Gauteng’s southernmost region is VUT.
- In 1966, VUT was formed. It has now developed into a whole university of technology.
- In 2016, VUT commemorated 50 years of offering technology education.
- Leaders in the public and private sectors have graduated from VUT.
- Courses in applied and computer sciences, human sciences, engineering and technology, and management sciences are offered by VUT’s four faculties.
- VUT offers academic programs with an industry focus.
- Students at VUT come from 29 different nations.
- The only university in South Africa that provides non-destructive testing is VUT.
- The only institution that completely owns the Science and Technology Park in Sebokeng, Gauteng, is VUT.
Important information for registration
- Only the PDF format must be used when scanning a document; any other format will not be accepted.
- No handwritten submissions will be accepted; all documents must be typed.
- Documents that do not meet the eligibility requirements or are not in full color and legible in the dark will not be processed.
- All supporting documentation must be current (within three months) and certified.
- No other email address will conduct the verification; only internationalveri@vut.ac.za will accept the papers.
- Documents that are discovered to be false will be reported right away, and you will be blocked due to fraudulent activities. Until an investigation and hearing are finished, you won’t be allowed to register or continue your studies.
- If you need assistance with medical aid applications, email lydia2@vut.ac.za or stay away from unlicensed agents.
- Students who are caught engaging in inappropriate or fraudulent registration will be suspended until the conclusion of an inquiry and hearing.
DO NOT PAY SOMEONE ELSE TO COMPLETE YOUR REGISTRATION, PAY FOR YOUR MEDICAID, OR SUBMIT DOCUMENTS ON YOUR BEHALF. You will be held accountable if fraudulent documents are submitted.
