Supply Chain Management Office
Welcome to the Supply Chain Management Department at the University of Fort Hare. This website was created to provide both internal and external clients with pertinent information that will meet their needs and requirements. With the aim of enabling the university to fulfill its larger mission of providing high-quality education of international standards that contributes to the advancement of knowledge that is socially and ethically relevant and applies technological and socioeconomic development of our country and the wider world, the university has set out to modernize its supply chain management policy and systems.
This purpose is to bring the university’s vision of a vibrant, equitable, and sustainable African institution that is dedicated to excellence in teaching and research at the service of its students, scholars, and the larger community to fruition. This is the university’s commitment to the strengthening and deepening of our constitutional democracy as a component of greater South African society.

The procurement function of the University shall focus on the following value outputs;
Preferential Procurement as a driving program for supplier development of small black enterprises,

- Delivery of goods and services at the right price,
- Optimal quality, and
- Utilization of appropriate levels of technology to enhance institutional objectives.
