Accommodation

If you are completing an application for an academic program, please also complete an application for a residence. It is important to attach the proof of payment for the residency application to the application. As soon as you receive your residence permit, please pay the residence deposit to secure your place in the residence.

In Alice, there are 33 residence halls, some of which are grouped together. Even though each household is different, they all support greatness. Each area has staff and student leaders who live and work there, coordinating services and initiatives that result in happy people. The administration building houses the residence manager’s office.

University of Fort Hare Tuition Fees

Before any student is permitted to register at the University, the University requires such a student to make a Minimum Initial Payment (MIP) towards

Tuition: R3 500
Foreign Levy: Non-SADC: R3500
Foreign Levy: SADC: R1500

Settlement of outstanding accounts

The balance owing after the payment of the minimal initial compensation (MIP) must be settled as follows:

  1. By the end of the first quarter (lectures end)
  2. By the end of the second quarter (lectures end)
  3. By the end of the third quarter (lectures end)
