University of Fort Hare Nsfas Application
Application for 2024 NSFAS funding open from 03 September 2023
Applicants who are approved for NSFAS funding are covered by the following:
Registration
Tuition
Allowances for:
Food
Accommodation or transport
Learning material
Personal care
- the SASSA grantees or
- Your household’s total income is less than R350 000 per year,
- a disabled individual whose annual household income is not greater than R600 000 or
- a student whose home income is not more than R122 000 per year and who started their university studies before 2018
To complete your application, determine which supporting papers are needed, and make sure you have all the necessary information, NSFAS may seek additional information from you. For your NSFAS application to be complete, you will require the following:
- Your own cellphone number and email address
- Copy of your ID or birth certificate
- ID copies of parents, guardians,s or spouse
- Your proof of income or 1 year’s IRP5 (if applicable)
- Your parents, guardian, or spouse’s proof of income
- If you are a SASSA grant recipient, no proof of income will be required
- Applicants with a disability must submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form, click here to download
- An applicant who is recognized as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development must provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form, click here to download
HOW AND WHERE TO APPLY
You can apply online using a cellphone, tablet, or computer. Follow these simple steps to apply:
1: Go to www.nsfas.org.za and click on the ‘myNSFAS’ tab
2: Create a myNSFAS account
3: Click on the ‘APPLY’ tab and answer the questions on the screen
4: Upload the required supporting documents then click on ‘submit’
Your application reference number will show up on the screen after you click “submit.” Additionally, the reference number will be emailed to the email address and mobile number you provided.
