University of Fort Hare Faculty of Health Sciences
The University of Fort Hare’s Faculty of Health Sciences is a dynamic and intellectually demanding academic environment administered by a group of qualified administrators and professors. Because of the dedicated, focused, and committed employees who are passionate about the academic endeavor and, in particular, clinical training, the Faculty thrives. In accordance with a multilateral agreement, the Faculty of Health Sciences will host the clinical training platform at the East London Resources Centre so that the students, together with those from Lilitha College and Walter Sisulu University, can participate in this exciting program. Nationally, regionally, and internationally, they collaborate in teaching and research.
For the students, who will enter a world rich with colorful diversity in terms of race, nationality, (dis)ability, gender identity, sexual orientation, creed, language, culture, class, and other factors, the diversity that exists in our Faculty is a microcosm of a larger society. In their early adulthood, our students will gain much from experiencing diversity in the classroom and in the workplace, and so will their future employers.
The Health Sciences Institute oversees the Faculty’s community-engaged scientific program. Students in the post-graduate program participate in a variety of studies that are directed by rated and well-known Principal Investigators (PIs).
