One of the six faculties at the University of Fort Hare, the faculty of health sciences is located on the East London campus. Five departments make up the Faculty of Health Sciences: Public Health, Natural Sciences, Human Movement, Rehabilitation Studies, and Nursing Science. Agronomy:

Agricultural engineering, agroforestry, crop production, genetics and plant breeding, horticulture, plant protection, and soil science are the disciplines that are included in this program. A solid foundation in the physical and biological sciences underpins each of these. The sustainable, intensive, and extensive production of food and fiber crops for domestic and international markets is given special consideration.

Agricultural Economics and Extension:

In order to grasp actual human issues, like rural poverty, food insecurity, and the myriad difficulties faced by both large- and small-scale producers, agricultural economics is an applied social science that uses techniques from economics and other disciplines. In order to understand the dynamics of encouraging human capital development in agriculture, agricultural extension draws on a variety of unique disciplines, including rural sociology and development communication. The Department adheres to a concept in which local realities serve as the foundation for its research and teaching activities, albeit this is not confined to the immediate region.

Biochemistry:

is the study of how life works chemically. It is an experimental science of living things that is “hands-on” and attempts to investigate, exploit, untangle, and comprehend all living things at the molecular level. The study of substances specific to living beings, including as proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates, and lipids, as well as their structure and biological functions, is included.
Molecular biology, biotechnology, and genetic engineering are all included in biochemistry. It interacts with chemistry, biophysics, botany, zoology, microbiology, genetics, physiology, and other fields since it lies between the physical and biological sciences. Insightful discoveries and useful applications in biochemistry can be found in the fields of environmental studies, medicine, agriculture, nutrition, and industry.

Botany:

The plant kingdom is enormous and extremely diverse, and botany is a study that spans many fields. Botany careers are consequently similarly diverse. Botany is the science that studies plants. According to the traditional definition, the term “plant” encompasses a wide variety of living things, including bacteria, flowering plants, algae, fungi, mosses, ferns, and gymnosperms, some of which are thought to belong to different or distinct kingdoms of life. Morphology, anatomy, physiology, ecology, and taxonomy are all subfields of botany.

MERCANTILE LAW

The responsibilities and rights that result from business transactions are the subjects of merchant law. ADJECTIVAL LAW

Public law regulates entities acting on behalf of the public. Public bodies include organizations like local governments and government departments. Government ministries, departments, agencies, local governments, health authorities, the police, prisons, courts, or any other regulating and monitoring body can all be referred to as public administrative bodies.
