Master’s and Doctoral degrees

For students who have strong writing and analytical abilities, master’s and doctoral degrees are available through dissertations (i.e., 100% research). The goal is to prepare students to work as independent business management researchers. Every year, a strict recruitment and selection process is carried out to guarantee that our department only draws the best postgraduate students. Master’s and doctorate candidates that are successful will contribute new and original research to the field’s body of knowledge.

Students must conduct a thorough analysis of the pertinent literature related to their selected area of study within the broad field of business management. The Faculty’s research committee is then presented with a research proposal. After being approved, the student can carry out the research and finish writing the entire dissertation.

For Masters’s degrees, the programs are provided over two to three years at the East London location and over three to five years at the Alice campus. Please refer to the Faculty prospectus for details on the admissions requirements.
