What is University Of Cape Town Open Day?
An annual Open Day is held by the Faculty of Humanities for high school students in Grades 10, 11, and 12, as well as their families, instructors, and guidance counselors. This event is perfect for students who are currently enrolled in school and their parents to learn more about the variety of study options offered by the Faculty of Humanities. More students are drawn to the event every year since they are interested in learning more about the University of Cape Town and what its many Faculties have to offer.
The popularity of Open Day is due to the opportunity it provides high school students to learn about courses and programs of study, ask questions of faculty and existing students, and investigate the numerous employment options our academic programs provide graduates.
The 18 academic departments of the Faculty present their corresponding program options on this day. Senior students and lecturers are available to respond to any inquiries from students and their parents. The day includes a variety of activities, such as:
- A warm welcome from the Dean of Humanities
- Interactive displays by academic departments
- An Overview of curriculum structuring
- Information about financial assistance
- Exposure to some of the facilities on campus
This Saturday morning event, which takes place in the second quarter of the year, should not be missed since it will enable you to make wise selections regarding your course of study. The UCT Admissions Office notifies schools of the dates and times of our Open Days.
