Cape Town Statement

At a pivotal juncture in world history, Moloi-Motsepe expressed hope that the Cape Town Statement that came out of the conference will help to strengthen research integrity.

As you are aware, numerous prior conferences have resulted in important declarations like the Singapore Statement on Research Integrity and, more recently, the Hong Kong standards for evaluating researchers. I’m extremely happy to learn that the Cape Town Statement on Diversity, Equity, and Fairness in Research Contexts is intended to be a key product of this conference.
