Unisa E-tutor Application Form 2024/2025: Unisa E-tutor Vacancies 2024 Law

UNISA is South Africa’s sole publicly financed institution dedicated to open and remote learning. The University is accepting applications for services as Online Tutors (E-tutors) on an independent contract basis, in keeping with its goal as a comprehensive, open, and distance learning tertiary school offering a variety of academic and career-focused programmes.

DUTIES
The following are the responsibilities of E-Tutors:

  • Facilitate online delivery of tutorial material
  • Manage students’ learning experiences online
  • Facilitate students’ interactions with their peers online
  • Provide students with academic and technical support online

REQUIREMENTS
E-Tutors must meet the following requirements:

* Ongoing access to an internet-connected computer
* Minimum of an Honours Bachelor’s degree in the subject that you would like to tutor (in some disciplines a Bachelor’s degree will be acceptable) at your own cost.
* Own copies of software packages that may be required for teaching e.g. Internet browsers, Word
processing.
* Basic computer and internet skills i.e. no training will be provided in using software packages, Internet sites or email.
* Commitment to meeting deadlines and a passion for student-centred learning.
* Advanced communication skills and proficiency in English (student communication will mostly be text-based writing by email, forums or assignment feedback documents).
* Friendly, patient and sensitive to a diversity of students.
