Everyone wanting to start a new qualification must apply for admission.

  • Undergraduate qualifications (higher certificates, advanced certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas, PGCE, BTech & degrees): Closed
  • Honours degrees & postgraduate diplomas:
    Closed
  • Master’s & doctoral degrees:
    10 September – 23 November 2022 (some exceptions apply)

Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes; UNISA Application Dates for 2022/2023

Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes (SLPs) focus on “just in time” and “just enough” learning to meet a specific learning need identified by individuals, organizations or society at large. SLPs are offered by centers located within the different academic departments of Colleges. Programme content and contact details are contained in each programme. You may also direct enquiries to ucl@unisa.ac.za. As part of a pilot project, only a select number of programmes will be able to apply online. Other programmes will be added in 2022.
Applications: 21 November 2022 – 31 January 2022
Registrations for First Semester courses: 03 January 2022– 15 February 2022
Registrations for Year courses: 03 January 2022 – 15 March 2022
Registrations for Second Semester courses: To be confirmed in January 2022

Please note:

  • If you are a first-time Unisa applicant and do not have a myLife e-mail address, Unisa will communicate with you via the e-mail address and cellphone number you provided during the application period.
  • If you were previously registered with Unisa, Unisa will send the outcome of your application to your myLife e-mail account. Please check this e-mail account regularly for information. If you have forgotten your myUnisa / myLife password, please go to myUnisa (https://my.unisa.ac.za) to update your password.
  • Unisa provides all registered students with a free myLife e-mail address. It is your responsibility to activate your myLife e-mail account as soon as your registration is finalized. Your myLife e-mail account will be the only e-mail account recognized by Unisa for official correspondence to and from the university, and will remain the official primary e-mail address on record at Unisa.
