UNISA Application Dates for 2024/2025: Unisa Application Undergraduate Dates
The University of South Africa (Unisa) is recognized for providing all students with equitable access to higher education. As a result of its social responsibility to repair past disparities, Unisa has an application and selection process that efficiently resolves historical imbalances without adversely affecting quality requirements.
The University of South Africa (UNISA) is currently accepting online applications for the academic year 2024-2025. The application timeframes have been published on the university’s official website.
2024 application for admission
Everyone wanting to start a new qualification must apply for admission.
- Undergraduate qualifications (higher certificates, advanced certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas, PGCE, BTech & degrees): Closed
- Honours degrees & postgraduate diplomas:
Closed - Master’s & doctoral degrees:
10 September – 23 November 2023 (some exceptions apply)

Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes; UNISA Application Dates for 2024/2025
Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes (SLPs) focus on “just in time” and “just enough” learning to meet a specific learning need to be identified by individuals, organizations, or society at large. SLPs are offered by centers located within the different academic departments of Colleges. Program content and contact details are contained in each program. You may also direct inquiries to ucl@unisa.ac.za. As part of a pilot project, only a select number of programs will be able to apply online. Other programs will be added in 2024.
- Applications: 21 November 2023 – 31 January 2024
- Registrations for First Semester courses: 03 January 2024– 15 February 2024
- Registrations for Year courses: 03 January 2024 – 15 March 2024
- Registrations for Second Semester courses: To be confirmed in January 2024

Please note:
- If you are a first-time Unisa applicant and do not have a myLife e-mail address, Unisa will communicate with you via the e-mail address and cellphone number you provided during the application period.
- If you were previously registered with Unisa, Unisa will send the outcome of your application to your myLife e-mail account. Please check this e-mail account regularly for information. If you have forgotten your myUnisa / myLife password, please go to myUnisa (https://my.unisa.ac.za) to update your password.
- Unisa provides all registered students with a free myLife e-mail address. It is your responsibility to activate your myLife e-mail account as soon as your registration is finalized. Your myLife e-mail account will be the only e-mail account recognized by Unisa for official correspondence to and from the university and will remain the official primary e-mail address on record at Unisa.
