UJ Application Dates 2024/2025
The University of Johannesburg, UJ Online Application for Admission to the 2024-2025 Academic year opens on 1 April 2023 and close on 31 October 2023 @ 12:00 for all undergraduate programmes. So prospective applicants willing to study at UJ for the 2024-2025 academic year must submit an online application at www.uj.ac.za online application portal 2024 before the closing date or deadline. The University of Johannesburg will not accept any late applications for 2024, therefore applicants should apply on time to avoid any disappointment.
UJ Application Dates for 2024-2025
Application for admission to the University of Johannesburg (UJ) for the 2024-2025 academic year will be open on 1 April 2023 for all programmes. The closing dates vary from one programme to another.
UJ 2024 closing dates for all programmes:
- All Undergraduate Programmes: 30 September 2023 by 12:00 PM
- Student Accommodation for all Undergraduate Programmes: 30 September 2023by 12:00 PM
- All Postgraduate programmes: 31 October 2023 @ 12:00
- COLLEGE OF BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS: 30 September 2023 @ 12:00
- BEd Hons (Educational Psychology) and MEd Educational Psychology: 24 June 2023 @ 12:00
- Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE): 31 August 2023 @ 12:00
- FACULTY OF ENGINEERING AND THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT: 30 September 2023 @ 12:00
- MA (Clinical Psychology) and MA (Counselling Psychology): 08 July 2023 @ 12:00
- BA Hons in Psychology and BSc Hons in Psychology open on 1 July 2023 and close on 30 September 2023 at 12:00
Crucial Information
- Only two study options are available to applicants.
- Once you’ve made your study selections, you can’t change them.
- If you are currently rewriting a Grade 12 in South Africa, please be aware that we can only process your application based on the most recent results we have.
- If you took Grade 12 more than once, you must upload your combined results at the end of the application procedure.
- You will be unable to apply for the 2024 application cycle if you are currently in your last year of study abroad in the Republic of South Africa.

UJ has TWO different methods of applying. You have the option to choose only ONE of the following:
- ONLINE Web Application = FREE

Important Information Regarding UJ Applications 2024-2025
- Applicants must have a valid email address in order to apply online. All Communication with regard to your application will be sent via email/SMS.
