UCT Application Fee Payment Methods 2024-2025: Pay UCT Application Fee Online

Various methods of payment are available. The student’s name and number should be clearly stated to ensure the correct fees account is credited. A copy of the deposit slip should be faxed to the Fees Office, where relevant.

The UCT Fee Structure methods for 2024-2025 the academic year

Cheque

Your name and student number must appear on the back of the cheque. Cheques should be crossed, made payable to the “University of Cape Town” and sent to:

  • Cashiers Office
  • University of Cape Town
  • Private Bag X3
  • 7701 Rondebosch

No changes on cheques will be accepted even if the account holder has signed the changes in full. Any attempted cancellation or change on the cheque will give rise to the cheque being rejected by the bank.

Post-dated cheques will not be accepted.

An R150 administration fee will be charged on all unpaid cheques.

Credit card

  • Credit card payments for student fees are accepted.
  • Credit card payments can be made directly to the student fee account online.

The cashier’s Office hours are weekdays from 09:00 to 15:30, except for Thursdays when it opens at 09:30.

Debit card

  • Debit card payments for student fees are accepted, but can only be made at the cashier’s Office by the cardholder, as the cardholder must enter his/her pin when authorizing the transaction.

Cash

  • Cash payments, to a maximum of R1 500, will be accepted at the Cashiers Office, Kramer Law Building, Middle Campus.

Direct deposit

Deposits may be made into the university’s bank account. The university’s banking details are:

  • Branch code: 025009

Your name and student number must be quoted when using this method of payment.

Please fax a copy of the deposit slip to the Fees Office, University of Cape Town, at +27 (0)21 650 4768.

Telegraphic transfer (for SADC students)

Where payment is being made for Southern African Development Community (SADC) students from outside the Rand currency area, payment must be made by electronic transfer of funds into the university’s bank account.

The university’s banking details are:

  • Standard Bank
  • Rondebosch
  • Branch code 025009
  • Account number 270689982
  • Swift address SBZAZAJJ.

Allow a minimum of 14 working days for such foreign payments to reach the UCT bank account. Pay UCT Application Fee Online

Non-SADC students/International students

Where payment is being made for students from outside the Rand currency area, payment must be made by electronic transfer of funds into the university’s bank account.
