The Tshwane University of Technology Transportation
Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) understands the importance of providing accessible transportation for its students since it knows that navigating transportation alternatives is a key part of academic life. To assist you in organizing your commute and exploring the neighborhood, we will look at the transportation alternatives available to TUT students both on and off campus in this post.
TRANSPORT POLICY FOR STUDENTS
This policy’s objectives include outlining the procurement process, defining categories of applicants who utilize fleet cars and buses, and defining the guidelines for operating official fleet vehicles and/or buses.
Student Assembly or Council:
(1) members of the Student Assembly or Council; and
(2) members of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC).
Registered student organizations:
Student organizations mean only those organizations that are officially registered at the Student
Governance and Leadership Development through the Student Assembly or Council.
1 No vehicle may be driven without prior authorization.
2 No student with a license that has an active endorsement will be allowed to drive fleet vehicles.
3 No student may drive official TUT vehicles while being under the influence of alcohol or any drug that could affect his or her judgment.
Bus transport is available for all students staying in residences that are not situated on campus.
All residence students are levied with a transport fee that allows them to use any of the TUT buses.
Although some residences have self-catering services, cafeterias offering three healthy balanced meals at affordable prices are available on the Pretoria West, Soshanguve, and Ga-Rankuwa campuses.
