The University of Mpumalanga (UMP) will begin accepting online applications for the 2024 academic year on June 1 and will close on November 30 for all undergraduate programs. Therefore, before the closing date or deadline, anyone wishing to enroll at UMP for the 2024 academic year must submit an online application for admission using the www.ump.ac.za online application 2024 portal.

For 2024, the University of Mpumalanga (UMP) will not accept late applications; thus, to avoid disappointment, apply online at www.ump.ac.za by 30 November 2023. See the dates below for the other UMP Application deadlines in 2024:

2024 application for admission

The application must be made on the prescribed forms and must reach the University of Mpumalanga (UMP) before the closing date. Forms are obtainable electronically from www.ump.ac.za or from the following UMP Campuses and sites of delivery.

UMP Application Dates for 2024

Applications for 2024 admissions open on 01 June 2023. Below are the various application closing dates for each program.

  • Bachelor of Education in Foundation Phase Teaching: 30 September 2023
  • All other Undergraduate Programmes: 30 November 2023
  • Honours Programmes, Advanced Diplomas, and Postgraduate Diplomas: 30 November 2023
  • Masters Programmes: 15 January 2024
  • Doctoral Programmes: 15 January 2024

University of Mpumalanga (UMP) Online Application Fee 2024

Everyone wanting to study at UMP for the 2024 academic session must pay an online application fee of R150 (RSA/SADC Applicants), other African Countries R350, and countries outside Africa R500 before starting the online application process.

Please remember that these fees are non-refundable even if you decide not to study with UMP or do not meet the UMP minimum admission requirements for your chosen program.

Documents Needed for UMP Online Application 2024

Please, provide the following supporting documents before starting the online application for admission to UMP 2024

  • Certified copies of your identity document
  • Certified copies of Senior Certificate/National Senior Certificate
  • Proof of non-refundable application fee
  • All other relevant supporting documents

UMP ONLINE APPLICATION STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS

NB: Before you start with your application, ensure that you have electronic copies to upload (the accepted document types/format are: pdf, doc, Docx, tiff, PNG, jpg, jpeg):

  • Step 1: Click here to apply, accept the application rules, and click “Continue”
  • Step 2: Capture your biographical information and click “next” to proceed with your application;
  • Step 3: Capture results details then add subjects and click “next”;
  • Step 4: Capture educational institution detail and click “next”;
  • Step 5: Capture academic application details (choose 2 choices/programs you wish to apply for), click on “add the qualification” and thereafter click “next”;
  • Step 6: Verify/Check your application details then click “Continue”;
  • Step 7: Create your 5-digit PIN (e.g 24689), click the “I accept”(twice) checkbox thereafter click “Submit Application”;
  • Step 8: Upload your documents, select “yes” on the dropdown list if all your documents are ready to be uploaded, and then click “next”;
  • Step 9: Click “Load/View Document” >> “Upload document” >> “Choose/Browse file” Go to the folder where your documents are stored, choose the relevant document, and click “Save”;
  • Step 10: Once all documents have been uploaded click “complete upload”;
  • Step 11: Confirmation Page, end of the application
