How to Track a Unisa Online Application 2024

Tracking your UNISA Application / Registration

The methods of applying and registering are fundamentally different. Make sure you’re familiar with the various definitions. Unless the deadline is imminent, give UNISA three to four weeks to process your application.

An online tool exists for this purpose: CLICK HERE

If you’re concerned about long delays or a lack of response from UNISA, follow the instructions for reviewing your application status.

Tracking your application status (or dealing with a problematic registration)

No online tracking tool is available for checking your application status! You will have to email/phone/visit UNISA.

I strongly advise you to pay a visit to the UNISA campus and stay until you have received a satisfactory response or your concerns have been addressed. Bring a picnic basket and a sleeping bag for a day of fun at the UNISA building.

Bring all of your supporting documentation, including but not limited to:

  • Your matric certificate and possibly previous results (plus certified copies!)

  • Your ID (plus certified copies!)

  • Any kind of communication you’ve received from UNISA (e.g. acceptance letter if this is w.r.t. registration and not application)

  • Any financial details or proof of payment applicable

Have anything you needed to provide during your application/registration on hand? Despite the fact that you have submitted these documents, UNISA may lose part of them. Make sure you have these on hand. If the campus assistant tells you that your matric certificate, for example, isn’t on file, you can pass it up right away.

The admissions personnel at UNISA can keep track of your application in real time. They’ll be able to see where your forms are and what status they’ve been given, as well as any concerns with documents, etc.

People are less likely to help you if you’re frothing at the mouth. Be professional and nice. But, if you’re persistent, you’ll get results. Don’t wait until the lines start to form to address these concerns. Be proactive in your approach.
