Whether you’re a prospective undergraduate or postgraduate student, this guide will give you the necessary knowledge and helpful advice to make your application successful. Let’s examine the crucial procedures that will prepare you for your educational journey at UNISA, from looking at programs and fulfilling admission requirements to completing the online application form and providing supporting documentation.
How to apply?
Applicants who plan to enroll for classes at a Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college under the Unisa-TVET agreement may apply via the relevant TVET college or online via Unisa.
Upload supporting documents

All first-time applicants and Unisa students beginning a new qualification are needed to present the necessary documentation. The application deadline is also the deadline for uploading the necessary files. No documents will be accepted that are provided after the application deadline.

Scanners or other technological gadgets are not offered by Unisa. Before beginning the application procedure, please make sure that your documents are scanned and transferred to an electronic device.

Pay the application fee once you’ve received a student number from Unisa

  • R125.00 for online applications
  • Use the student number you receive from Unisa AND the application fee reference number (ie YOUR STUDENT NUMBER 5370810030)
  • Send the proof of payment to susdepid@unisa.ac.za
  • Visit www.unisa.ac.za/paymentinfo for banking details and payment information

Even if you decide not to enroll in Unisa’s programs, are not admitted, or are not able to accept an offer of a spot because there aren’t enough spots, this cost is not refundable. At all of its locations, Unisa does not accept cash.

The application period’s deadline is also the day on which the application fee is due. Any application that is submitted without a timely paid application fee will not be processed. Make sure to save a copy of your payment confirmation.

Make sure that your application is complete

If your application for admission to study through Unisa is incomplete, you will have to re-apply during the next application period.

Your educational and career aspirations may be transformed by applying to the University of South Africa. You may efficiently complete the application process and improve your chances of getting accepted to UNISA by following this step-by-step manual.
