UCT offers postgraduate diplomas and degrees from six faculties. Additionally, the Graduate School of Business (GSB) and the Hasso Plattner School of Design Thinking (d-school) both provide highly sought-after postgraduate courses.

Some degree programs (like Environmental & Geographical Sciences) are spread across multiple faculties. The faculties are happy to answer questions from students about their postgraduate degree programs.

Depending on your research interests, you can get in touch with any one of the nearly 40 recognized research groups and university research institutions at UCT. The faculties at UCT also house a number of schools, including the Graduate School of Business and the Nelson Mandela School of Public Governance.

Faculties and Departments

The Careers Service is equipped to provide support, knowledge, and career expertise to assist each faculty in delivering the best outcomes for students. Find out what we offer to students.

During orientation, they speak to every first-year group in every faculty to inform them of the services. Additionally, they encounter a sizable number of first-year students who are unsure about their choices or who were rejected from the course they applied for.

Bespoke Workshops and Presentations

In undergraduate and graduate classrooms across all faculties, we conduct a variety of tailored speeches and workshops. Contact the Careers Service if you’re interested in having us give a presentation or lead a session for your students.
