Details Of University of the Free State Application 2022/2023 Apply Online UFS

University of the Free State Application 2022/2023 : To apply to the University of the Free State , you need the documents below:

  • A certified copy of the green bar coded ID
  • Proof of payment of any relevant application fees
  • Certified copy of grade 11 results and any latest grade 12 results

 STUDENT APPLICATIONS

  • Click HERE to review the 2022 New Student Prospectus to ensure you meet the minimum entry requirements before applying.
  • All prospective students must complete the online application.
  • After submitting and processing your online application, you will receive a registration number (reference number).
  • The receipt of a registration number (reference number) does NOT mean that it has still been accepted by the University of the Free State.
  • For applicants rewriting subjects in grade 12, applications will be processed based on current results. If grade 12 was written more than once, your combined results must be submitted with your application.
  • Applicants writing Senior National Certificate (NSC) through IEB or SACAI exam sites can apply online by selecting Senior National Certificate on the Results Details page of the online application process.
  • Applicants currently in the 12th grade are asked to provide copies of the final 11th grade from the final 11th grade.
  • Applicants transferring from another university / college must indicate their prior studies at the time of application and upload a full certificate and a degree / diploma certificate (if applicable).
  • The University of the Free State does not accept the General Education Development (GED) test to enter any of its undergraduate curricular qualifications.

The GED is no longer recognized by the Universities of South Africa (USAf) and does not correspond to the 12th grade of South Africa (NSC / IEB / SACAI). Applicants who have completed the GED and wish to pursue an undergraduate curriculum are encouraged to enroll and complete a Grade 12 NSC / IEB / SACAI or international equivalent.

  • Applicants who have not completed SC / NSC / IEB must have USAF accreditation from the University of South Africa Examining Board. Click HERE to apply for a Conditional License, Overseas Conditional License, or Conditional Old Age License online, or email applications@usaf.ac.za.

 GRADUATE APPLICATIONS

  • It is important to note that ALL graduate programs are programs of choice.

  • In some cases, it is expected that Honors, Masters and Doctorate students apply directly to the faculty or pre-register.

Please refer to the appropriate faculty and department information to find out if you should apply directly or register early.

  • All prospective students must complete the online application.
  • After submitting and processing your application online, you will receive a registration number (reference number).
  • The receipt of a registration number (reference number) does NOT mean that it has been accepted by the University of the Free State.
  • Admission is a separate procedure in which the responsible faculty verifies your application.
  • Before submitting your application online and uploading / emailing documents, visit the respective faculty / department website to confirm any additional documents that may be required, eg. Eg Department application form, curriculum vitae, motivation, reports, dissertation / thesis proposal, etc.

  • Applicants transferring from another university / university must upload a full transcript / certificate, a degree / diploma certificate, and a SER certificate if they have a foreign / international degree.
  • Advanced Diploma qualifications are classified as Bachelor’s Degree.

However, it is managed (administratively) as a postgraduate based on preliminary studies.

FYI: South Africans learners wishing to apply online will need a working email address and an ID number. Foreign learners wishing to apply will need to have their passport number.
