CUT Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology

About Us

The Department of Built Environment, Department of Civil Engineering, Department of Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering, Department of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering, Department of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, and Department of Information Technology make up the six departments that make up the Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment, and Information Technology.

The programs provided by the Faculty’s departments are made to give diplomas and graduates the knowledge and abilities they need to excel in their chosen fields. The Faculty places a high value on innovation, and various stakeholders work hard to highlight the Faculty’s and CUT’s accomplishments in the domains of science, engineering, and technology. These factors all contribute to the Faculty’s success. A benchmarking system, which guarantees that training and research programs always match the highest criteria, helps to achieve this.

Each department within the Faculty is designed to facilitate a hands-on, project-based learning style and has access to considerable lab and computer resources. Career-focused programs are required to provide a year-long Work-Integrated Learning component at the diploma level. In an effort to guarantee that learning programs stay relevant, continuous contact is kept with industry and the private sector through the many advisory committees that meet on a regular basis.

The faculty conducts practical research that is focused on meeting the requirements of business and the general public. The majority of the time, local, national, and international partners provide strong support for research projects. CUT Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology
