It is important to assess the full cost of your studies before confirming your modules for registration. What you can afford will affect the number of modules for which you can register. Our fees differ depending on your qualification, your number of modules, and so on, but basically, they include prescribed student fees (including registration fees), miscellaneous fees, and fees for additional study material.

If you’re registering via the web or the self-help terminals at a regional center, you can choose your modules and calculate your fees during that process. If you’re registering by post or fax, you should calculate your fees and minimum payments before you register. Either way, please work through this section carefully to ensure that you can successfully complete the registration process.

The minimum amount payable at registration

A minimum fee amount is payable before the closing dates for registration for each module or paper for which you register. If this amount is not paid before the closing date for registration, the university will not be able to process your registration. After paying the minimum amount, the outstanding balance must be paid by the relevant dates.

Everyone wanting to start a new qualification must apply for admission. This includes

• First-time Unisa applicants.
• Unisa students changing to a new qualification and/or specialization.
• Applicants who previously applied for admission and were not offered a space or who were offered a space accepted the offer and did not register.
• Students completing a higher certificate or any other program and who wish to continue with further undergraduate studies.
