Application for Admission to Unisa 2024
The University of South Africa (UNISA) will consider applications for admission to the 2024-2025 academic year From 1 September 2023 to 13 October 2023 for all undergraduate, honours degrees & postgraduate diplomas. Please, note that UNISA’s Application for Admission opening and closing dates can be changed at any time due to COVID-19 Pandemic. Applicants interested in starting a new qualification should apply for admission to study at Unisa for the 2024 academic year. Before you begin the online application, keep the following in mind. - Applicants who want to study with Unisa will be eligible to qualify for at least two qualifications in a separate area of study, but they will only be able to register for one if all of their qualifications are approved.
- Unisa will notify you of the results of your application. If your application accomplished the desired result, they will remind you of which of the qualification you have been accepted into, as well as provide you with a room for the time frame in which you applied which is the First 1st, or Second Semester of 2024.
- Any offer made by Unisa must be accepted or declined within the time frame specified. If you do not follow Unisa’s deadline, the offer will be rejected and the vacant space will be allocated to another candidate.
- For the first-time applicant, before they can consider an offer from Unisa, students must complete the First-Year Experience and the Huge Open Online Course. UNISA Registration for 2024
- You can only consider one Unisa offer. The reason is that if you consider the offer for one qualification, regardless of whether it is your first or second choice, the offer will be automatically withdrawn.
- If you were able to accept Unisa’s offer, you would have to apply for the University’s designated time of entry.

If you are eligible for Honours degrees or postgraduate diplomas, Unisa will evaluate your submission based on the academic entry criteria for your chosen qualifications and the final grade you received in your main subjects during your third year of undergraduate study. Please Take Note: You must re-apply for admission during the next eligibility period given by UNISA if you did not register for the required semester of your studies.
